The Beacon is the dominant retail centre in Eastbourne, comprising 350,000 sq ft of prime retail space anchored by Primark, Boots, River Island and Next.

An 175,000 sq ft extension was opened in Autumn 2018 where an additional 22 retail units, seven restaurant units, a 9 screen Cineworld and a significant extension to the car park was developed. H&M occupy a 23,000 sq ft store and Next are trading from a 21,000 sq ft store. Other retailers to have moved in include Schuh, New Look and Fat Face.
